My therapeutic approach is very much a holistic one, taking into account not just physical illness or injury but my clients’ emotional and spiritual well-being, lifestyle and environment. I work with my clients to unravel emotional stress and physical tension; to restore balance and create optimum health and happiness. I tend to integrate the various styles of massage I have learned, tailoring each treatment to the specific needs of each individual client.
In my spare time I enjoy being in nature. I regularly go hillwalking, rock climbing and winter climbing and I am a very amateur but enthusiastic gardener. I am currently learning to play the violin. I live in Paisley and I am passionate about supporting my local community to thrive.
I have been practising holistic therapies since 2001. I gained my Diploma in Aromatherapy, which also incorporates body massage and holistic facial treatments, at Cardonald College, Glasgow. My qualification is accredited by the Vocational Training Charitable Trust (VTCT), an internationally recognised body.
Throughout my career, I have continued my professional development by adding Reiki, No Hands massage, Hot Stone massage, Pregnancy massage, seated acupressure massage and Deep Tissue massage to my skill-set. I have been practising shamanic healing work since 2007 and I offer power retrievals, information retrievals, soul retrievals and extractions. If this is something that feels relevant to you, please get in touch and we can arrange a time to meet and discuss this work further.
In 2012 I completed a BSc Honours degree in Physiology at the University of Glasgow. This degree was undertaken with the intention of gaining a deeper understanding of the human body. I chose to specialise in cardiac physiology and the role of exercise in health, with a view to promoting health within the community and with my clients. I have a keen interest in nutrition, which I try to incorporate into my therapy work.
